Lead Engineer, Electrical & Instrumentation

Reports to
Associate Director, Engineering, Facilities & EHS&S

 Job Description

  • Responsible for ensuring Tessa’s current Technical Operations Equipment and Rooms are maintained in good operational state
    • Includes equipment and rooms from all internal Customers
    • Scope of operations include site electrical systems, general site and equipment instrumentation, EMS, BMS, FAS/PA, ACS, CCTV, CMMS, SOPs and Documentation
  • Manage external contractors in the areas of System, Equipment and Rooms for Calibration and Maintenance
  • Support/ lead facility improvement projects or design projects as required
  • Ensure maintenance and service contracts are executed as per requirements; establish regular review points with external contractors as required to continually improve processes and performance
  • Work cross functionally to ensure Systems, Equipment and Rooms meet Internal Customers’ needs
  • Be an advocate of EHSS compliance and initiatives
    • Where cGMP requirements apply, ensure deliverables meet GDP and internal Quality standards
  • Support/ lead facility improvement projects or design projects as required


  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Willing to learn and continuously improve
  • Self-Starter with good initiative to work independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge in Bio-Pharma R&D is an added advantage
  • Comply to Tessa safety practices and standard operating procedures
  • Exhibit and promote Tessa’s Core Values
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing contractors in cGMP facility operations
  • Experience in cGMP requirements for Calibration and Maintenance
  • Experience in setting up new systems will be advantageous
